What started as an afternoon of modeling hats for our website in 2016 turned into a permanent position managing inventory, shipping and orders. Kim is the person who lovingly wraps your orders in tissue paper and satin ribbon.
A breast cancer survivor since 2015, Kim knows what a cancer diagnosis means for women and their families. After chemo and several surgeries including bilateral mastectomy, Kim says going through hard things not only makes you stronger, it makes you wiser. She is also the mother of two wily boys.
Mindy joined our team in March 2018. She is known as the office computer wizard. She does a little bit of everything, from tagging incoming inventory and packing it to be shipped out to updating product pages and general troubleshooting.
Mindy loves spending time with her handsome Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier, Chester, and her husband, bike riding on the Centennial Trail, cooking and eating good food and traveling.
In 1988 at the age of 35, Nicki was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and underwent a full year of chemotherapy. Four years later, when a dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, Nicki decided to combine her hairdressing experience with her cancer experience to help women through this process. For the next 25 years she specialized in seeing cancer and alopecia patients as part of her hairdressing practice.
These combined experiences give Nicki a unique and personal perspective on what works and what doesn't when it comes to headwear for hair loss. She began Hats Scarves & More as an online business in 2006, and now designs her own headwear line with artisans in Bali.
When Jennifer started at Hats, Scarves & More in 2014, Nicki’s kitchen table served as headquarters for all planning and operations. Since then, there isn’t much at Hats, Scarves & More that she hasn’t done.
As Creative Director, Jennifer works closely with Nicki to make beautiful hats, beautiful images, and a beautiful shopping experience for women with hair loss. Having walked alongside loved ones with a cancer diagnosis, Jennifer shares Hats, Scarves & More’s mission of bringing beauty, inspiration, & hope to women with hair loss.
